Getting here

By road
This part of France has an excellent road network with both motorways (A11, A81) and expressways (N12, N164, N165) keeping all the major places connected. However the real joy is the more minor roads where motoring can be a positive pleasure.
By air
Rennes Airport

Rennes St. Jacques Airport (80km) offers direct flights from the United Kingdom, The Netherlands, Spain, Italy and other French cities. The latest service to be introduced is by Spanish Airline Vueling who offer a service to and from London Gatwick. The usual car hire companies are represented in the airport complex.

Dinard Airport

Dinard Airport (88km) which is mainly served by Ryan Air with flights from East Midlands, Guernsey and London Stansted. The usual car hire companies are represented in the airport complex.

By sea
Brittany Ferries

Brittany Ferries sail to St Malo (103km) from Portsmouth and Plymouth. Roscoff (160km) from Cork and Plymouth, Caen (255km) from Portsmouth and Cherbourg (308km) from Poole during the peak season only.

Condor Ferries

Condor Ferries travel from Portsmouth to St Malo and Cherbourg, Poole and Weymouth to St Malo although some of these stop off at the Channel Islands so make sure you check!

Calais with its ferries and of course, 'le tunnel sous la Manche', is 602km, but French roads being what they are, even that is not too daunting. You can always take in some of Normandy on route. It is also worth noting that Brittany is free of toll roads.

AFerry allows travellers to compare and book from a huge choice of ferry routes. Definitely worth checking!
